The Michigan Lottery runs a Second Chance scheme which gives you an opportunity to pick up prizes even if your ticket isn’t a winner.

It’s really easy to take advantage of the Second Chance promotion. Play any of the featured games – for example Colossal Cashword, Major Cashword or Top Secret Cashword – and keep hold of your tickets.

If you have a losing ticket, simply scan it with the Michigan Lottery app or enter the barcode number via the Web Ticket Checker.

You’ll earn free online Cashword games for every non-winning ticket scanned, plus entries for the weekly Second Chance drawings.

You just need to make sure you enter your non-winning tickets in time for the relevant draw.

A number of winners – usually five - are selected at random in each draw. Winners receive Instant Tickets to the value of $100, $200 or $300, giving them the chance to play for great prizes at no cost.
