There are actually two draws a day in Daily 3 - a Midday draw at 12:59 PM ET and an Evening draw at 7:29 PM ET.
Ticket sales for the Midday draw close at 12:49 PM ET, and for the Evening draw they close at 7:08 PM ET. Sales resume a couple of minutes later for the next draw.
To play Daily 3, you need to start by selecting three numbers between 0 and 9. You can ask for an Easy Pick if you want a random selection. You also need to decide on your bet type.
You can play a Straight, Box, Wheel, 2-Way or 1-Off. A Straight is a prediction on the numbers appearing exactly in that order, while a Box is betting on them to appear in any order. To find out more about all the bet types, see the How to Play page.
For most bet types, you can decide whether to wager $0.50 or $1. If you play a 2-Way - which combines a Straight and a Box - it is a fixed $1.
If you play a Wheel - where all your number combinations are entered as separate Straights - the cost also depends on whether you play a 3-Way or 6-Way.
This refers to the combination of numbers you play and the number of 'ways' they can be arranged. A '3-Way' bet has two identical digits and a third that is different, such as 112 (which can only be arranged as 112, 121 or 211). A '6-Way' has three unique digits, for example 123, as this can be ordered 123, 132, 213, 231, 312 or 321.
You can enter your numbers in up to 60 drawings in a row.
You have to be at least 18 to play Daily 3 in Michigan.
You can win up to $500 in Daily 3, if you play a $1 Straight and match all three numbers in exact order. The prizes you can win are based on the bet type you play and your wager amount.

There are various ways to claim lottery prizes in Michigan, but in Daily 3 it's particularly easy as you can redeem prizes up to $600 in-store from lottery retailers.
You have one year from the draw date to claim any prizes you win.
