Here are the most frequently asked questions about Daily 4. Find out about different aspects of the game, such as which bet types are available and the claims process.
Drawings take place at 12:59 PM ET and 7:29 PM ET every day.
Ticket sales for the Midday drawing close at 12:49 PM ET, reopening again two minutes later for the next draw. For the Evening draw, ticket sales are available until 7:08 PM ET. Again, they resume two minutes later for the next draw.
Start by selecting four numbers between 0 and 9, then choose your bet type.
You can play a Straight, Box, Wheel, 2-Way or 1-Off. Go to the How to Play page to learn more about each one. Within each bet type, you can play a 4-Way, 6-Way, 12-Way or 24-Way bet.
These are the different combinations of numbers that you can have. A 4-Way wager has three identical digits and one that is different, such as 1112, as there are 'four ways' this can be ordered (1112, 1121, 1211 and 2111). A 6-Way wager has two sets of pairs (e.g. 3344), a 12-Way wager has a pair and two unique numbers (e.g. 5567), and a 24-Way bet has four different numbers (e.g. 8901).
Daily 4 costs $1 per play. For Wheel bets, where your number combinations are entered as separate Straights, the cost is $4 for a 4-Way Wheel, $6 for a 6-Way Wheel, and so on.
You can choose to play up to 60 consecutive drawings.
The minimum age to play Daily 4 in Michigan is 18.
There are a number of different prizes, as there is a fixed payout amount for each bet type. The most you can win is $5,000 for matching the numbers in exact order. Go to the Odds and Prizes page to find out more.
The odds of winning are different for each bet type, and also depend on whether you play a 4-Way, 6-Way, 12-Way or 24-Way wager. The chances of matching four numbers in exact order are 1 in 10,000.
You can claim prizes from Michigan Lottery retailers, by mail or by visiting a claim center. Your options depend on how much you win. See the page on How to Claim for more information.
The claim period for prizes is one year from the draw date, regardless of the amount.
