A single Lotto 47 play costs $1. To add Double Play costs an additional $1, while it is also an extra $1 to add EZmatch.
Double Play is a second draw that takes place just after the main Lotto 47 draw, with another set of numbers selected at random. Your numbers are also entered into this draw (if you’ve added it to your ticket), giving you another chance to win prizes. Double Play cannot be played on its own.
If you add EZmatch, a series of random ‘EZmatch’ numbers will be printed on your ticket. If any of these match your Lotto 47 numbers, you win the prize amount shown on your ticket without even having to wait for a draw to take place.
Prizes start at $5 for matching three numbers. The value of payouts goes up as you match more, right up to the jackpot for getting all six numbers. The jackpot starts at $1 million.
Yes, there is no limit to how high it can grow, so the jackpot keeps rolling until it is won.
The biggest Lotto 47 jackpot ever was $32.2 million and it was won on November 7, 2020. Two ticket holders – one from Ferndale and one from Lake Odessa – split the prize, so they each received more than $16 million.
You can decide whether to take the jackpot as an annuity (paid out annually over 30 years) or a lump sum. The same applies for the Double Play jackpot of $1.5 million.
Yes, if you win $10,000 or more, you would have to give your consent before the Michigan Lottery could release details of your identity.
