How to Play Lotto 47

Lotto 47 is a simple game to play, but you also have lots of exciting options that can enhance your experience and potentially bring you more prizes. The steps below outline how to play this classic Michigan lotto.

Select your numbers

Select six numbers from 1 to 47, or mark the Easy Pick option to get a random set.

Double Play?

Decide whether to add Double Play to give your numbers another chance to win.

Add EZmatch

Add EZmatch to potentially win instant prizes at the time of purchasing your ticket.

Multi-Draw option

Specify how many consecutive drawings you want to enter, up to a maximum of 60.

Purchase your entries

Pay for your tickets. The cost of a single Lotto 47 play is $1. Double Play costs an extra $1, while EZmatch is also an additional $1.

How the Draw Works

Lotto 47 drawings are held at 7:29 PM ET on Wednesdays and Saturdays, with ticket sales closing at 7:08 PM ET. You can play by visiting a Michigan Lottery retailer, or take part online.

When the draw takes place, six numbers are selected at random and you win prizes if you match three or more.

Double Play and EZmatch

A separate draw, Double Play, happens immediately after the main draw, with another six numbers selected from 1 to 47. This gives your numbers another chance to win if you added the Double Play option for an extra $1. You can’t play Double Play on its own.

If you decided to play EZmatch, also for an optional $1, a series of ‘EZmatch’ numbers will be printed on the lower portion of your ticket. Each one will be assigned a prize value. If any of these EZmatch numbers are the same as the Lotto 47 numbers you picked, you win the associated prize.
