Mega Millions Odds and Prizes
Mega Millions offers colossal jackpots and lots of other ways to win. The overall odds of getting a prize are 1 in 23.07.
You have to match all the numbers to win the jackpot, which starts at $50 million. If nobody wins, the grand prize rolls to the next draw. There is no limit to how high it can grow, so the jackpot has been known to reach $1 billion or more.
There are also eight other ways to win if you match fewer numbers. The table below shows all the prize categories, the payouts for each one, and the odds of winning.

How to Claim Prizes
If you win a Mega Millions prize, the next step is to claim your money. This can be done in several ways, but for most prizes you simply need to take in your ticket to a Michigan Lottery retailer to receive your cash.
Jackpot winners can decide whether to take the money as an annuity paid out over 30 years, or a lump sum.
