How to Play Powerball in Michigan
It could not be much simpler to play Powerball in Michigan. You can take part online or by visiting an authorised retailer. You are just required to follow a few quick steps.
Pick your numbers
Select five main numbers between 1 and 69, plus a Powerball number from a separate set of 1 to 26. Alternatively, get an Easy Pick if you want a random set.
Add Power Play
Decide whether to add the Power Play option. This increases the payout of any non-jackpot prize you win by up to 10 times. You can also add Double Play if you are purchasing in-store, giving you another chance to win prizes.
Multi-Draw options
Specify how many draws you want to play in advance. Leave blank if you just want to enter your numbers into the next drawing.
Pay for your entries
Purchase your Powerball ticket at a cost of $2 per play. It is an extra $1 to add Power Play, while Double Play also costs $1.
If you have an old ticket from the past 31 days, you can also ask the retailer for a ‘Replay’. All your selections will be reprinted on a new ticket, starting from the next available draw.
Powerball drawings take place at 10:59 PM ET on Mondays, Wednesdays and Saturdays. The cut-off time for ticket sales is 9:58 PM on draw nights.
When the draw is held, five white balls are drawn between 1 and 69, plus one Powerball from 1 to 26. A separate draw takes place to determine which Power Play multiplier will be applied (2x, 3x, 4x, 5x or 10x).
A separate Double Play draw also takes place, with another set of winning numbers selected. If you added the Double Play option, your numbers are also entered into this draw.
How to Win Prizes
To win a Powerball prize, you must match the numbers you have selected to the numbers that are drawn. Go to the Odds and Prizes page to see all the ways you can win.
You can see the latest results on the Powerball Numbers page shortly after each draw has happened.
